Quick general overview
I am a trainee Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor working towards my assessment. I hold the summer ML award, the RCI award and the CWDI award. I have been instructing since 2006 and an ML holder for almost 20 years! I’m a member of the BMC, Mountain Training Association and a trainee member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI).
I have been rock climbing since 2004 and started winter climbing in 2006. I been lucky enough to have climbed up to Difficile in the Alps, E4 in summer and V,6 in winter and bouldered to V7. Personal favourites include:

I hold a Bsc in environmental science (2007) with outdoor education from Stirling University, a PGCE in Outdoor Education (2013) from Bangor University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching (2020) from the University of Worcester. I have 10 years teaching experience delivering GCSE, A level and BTEC. I also have leadership experience in education and experience of managing OFSTED inspections. I’m and active and keen mountaineer and climber with experience of many of the major UK crags.
